Artist Statement

I view my work as disrupting the purity of a blank canvas, using acrylic paint to loosely interpret the most meaningful inspirations that come to mind. My belief is that when creating art, there is a transformation. I am able to expand artistically, elevate myself to the limits and at the same time, connect. In that present moment, my mind relaxes, and I find myself in pure presence, where everything is beyond judgement.
 

As you observe my work, my expectation is that you bear witness to the journey. For me, art is therapy. That language I feel compelled to share with the world.

 

About Me and My Work

Lyn-Marie is based in South Florida. She works with different media but has an affinity for acrylic painting. As she reflects, creativity has always been a great part of her life and enormously etched in her DNA. Over the years she has been developing her style and has evolved into a contemporary abstract art painter, utilizing vibrant colors to create awe-inspiring, multi-layered abstract paintings that are heavily textured. Every line, color and shape she chooses reflects a purposeful intention to communicate conceptual breadth and depth.
 

She is fascinated with abstract painting because she believes that abstraction continuously opens new doors to us as we try to comprehend the endless complexities our evolving society presents us with.
